In 2021, most of us know that only 8% of the plastic gets recycled. The solution to the recycling problem could be a simple one: producer less waste.
Mona Lüders project windwos of consumption is taking a look on how we, the consumers, can become aware of our own habits regarding plastic consumption.
Does our trash show part of who we are? Can we show identity through trash? What impact does it have to see ones own collections of trash of a 3 month period?
Windows of Consumption wants to answer these questions.
More than 20 participants have collected their daily plastic, have seen their impact, but also have seen the faults of the package industry. Many of them, after completing the projects, have changed their plastic consumption and made positive, more sustainable changes. Together, Mona and her participants identified at least one behaviour in need of and together, they have fount the best possible solution.
